- Visit Agios Nikolaos Nunnery on the path between Firostefani and Imerovigli. The 17th-century complex includes a small folklore and ecclesiastical museum that most visitors never step into.
- Walk up to the Prophet Elias Chapel on the highest point of the village. The view from up there is the wide one, the kind that helps you understand the shape of the whole caldera.
- Settle into a cliff-edge restaurant or wine bar at golden hour. Imerovigli sunsets are arguably the most beautiful on the island, and they come with a fraction of the crowd you find in Oia.

Imerovigli Skaros Rock: what to expect
Of all the things to do in Imerovigli, Skaros Rock is the one most people remember. The Imerovigli Skaros Rock viewpoint sits right below the village, where the cliff drops dramatically into the Aegean. Once, this was the fortified seat of Santorini, a medieval citadel that locals turned to for safety. Today the ruins of old walls, churches and houses are scattered across the rock, and a path begins right at the edge of the village. Avoid the hottest hours. The caldera path through Imerovigli has very little shade, and the midday sun gets intense. Aim for early morning or the late afternoon.
Wear proper shoes. The cliffside path is paved but the descent to Skaros Rock is steep, and proper shoes make a real difference.
